Recap

Written: 13/07/2011

Didn't have time to blog, too much to see and do. Here's a recap.

July 11: We saw more of Amsterdam and relocated to a more centralized (better) hostel. Then we just took a walk to the Vondelpark, not that exciting but relaxing. Then we went back to the older parts of the city, were one of the Red Light District's were located (De Wallen). Then we chilled rest of the evening.

Vondelpark. What the... just noticed Jeff Bridges over there.

I told him I've met the real Freddy Krueger, he had no clue what I was talking about.

July 12: We couldn't find any other cheap and good hostels in Amsterdam so we decided to take a night in Brussels instead. There we saw the Manneken Pis, but our main focus was of course Delirium Café. We met two crazy dudes from Holland and France whom we drank some rare local beers with. Also, the people at the hostel were pretty neat this time, very social and fun.

Manneken Pis. Tourist-free picture, the skills!

July 13: Next stop was France. We initially wanted to go to Lille first, but the trains to Lille took longer than to Paris, so we went to Paris instead. We're going to be here until Friday and then move on south. Apparently it's the French national day tomorrow so it'll be interesting to see. Plus we're gonna try to see all the important monuments tomorrow. Today we saw Notre-Dame.

Me like.

Not only in Tokyo!

We arrived to another Hotel, more central, here in Paris. Today we got the time to really sleep, relax and check the monuments. We've been walking all day... Really crowded today and some of the metro's were closed so we had to walk a long way to finally find one.

Also, tomorrow we're going to Reims, France. We're skipping Barcelona because we couldn't find any hostels/hotels along the way in France so, we're heading east and then south to Italy. Reims(France)>Strasbourg(France)>Milano(Italy)

Here's what we walked today (approximately):

I just had to.

This was about the closest we could get to the tower. It was their national day (La Fête Nationale) so it was closed for the public.
